"Sir, It's the Enterprise!"

This post features something a little different from my usual subjects, but it is still a nice piece in my collection.  This is the U.S.S. Enterprise from Playmates.  It is from the 2009 movie an is nicely detailed.  I was worried at first because the box led me to believe that it was geared toward younger children, but the detail is great for collectors.  I found it on clearance at Roses for $10, so it was well worth the money.  So take the parking brake off and "Punch it!"

Coming next.... from the Green Lantern Honor Guard, Kyle Rayner.

The Giant of the X-men

Since I began truely collecting action figures, one of my most sought-after characters was Colossus.  He was always my favorite X-man and the pictures that I saw of this figure were fantastic.  I was only disappointed in the right leg of the figure.  It appears that the figure was intended to be displayed with his leg proped up on the base that came with the figure.  With my figures, I have them standing up straight on shelves.  When Colossus is posed this way, the top of the boot on the right leg does not line up correctly.  Other than this small oddity, the figure in great.

More to come soon, including a way to the stars..

The Tarantula!!

This figure is from the Spider-man Classic line.  It is the best Tarantula figure that I have come across.  It is very articulate and is a great looking figure.  The only complaint that I have with the figure is that it is slightly shorter than my other Marvel figures, but other than that, I am pleased to have it in my collection.

Coming next, my favorite member of the X-men, Colossus....

The Quest Continues

The next subject for my blog is the Joker figure from the Dark Knight Movie Masters line.  I had looked at this figure for a long time but did not want to spend $15 for it because I already had a nice Joker action figure.  When Toys 'R Us put it on clearance for $5 and ran a special buy one, get one free, I thought that it was too good of a deal to pass up.  The articulation is good and the detail is nice.  It is a little bit shorter than most of the figures in the DC line, but is still looks good sitting on my DC villians shelf.

Coming soon..... The Tarantula!

Articulation Quest

For the near future, I will be documenting my never-ending quest to improve my action figure collection.  I plan on detailing my current collection and any new finds that I come across.  I will begin with a new figure that I acquired on vacation in Myrtle Beach.  It is a Marvel Legends classic Iron Man from series 1.  I have been searching for it for a while, but I have been unable to find one.

This now completes my original Avengers.  More of the Articulation Quest to come.
